01

Start with the week you really have

List work, dinner, travel and weekend commitments before choosing clothes. The system should cover your ordinary week, not an imagined life that demands seven unrelated looks.

02

Choose a compact, compatible set

Use a small set of tops, layers, trousers and shoes that share one restrained palette. Each top should work with several trousers and each layer should have more than one base beneath it.

03

Change one signal

An overshirt makes the base relaxed; a blazer makes it sharper. Loafers lift formality; sneakers reduce it. Change one or two signals while keeping the useful core intact.

04

Set the proportion once

Hem trousers for the shoes, confirm jacket length and decide which tops tuck cleanly. Repeating a good proportion is the point; novelty is not required every morning.

05

Photograph the finished seven

Save one clear full-length image of each outfit. When the week changes, replace only the formula that no longer serves. A working system becomes quieter and more personal through use.
