THE QWD FIT NOTE / KNITWEAR
The four-point jumper fit check
Judge the jumper with its real underlayer, then check the shoulder, body, sleeve and hem as one line. Fine knits can sit closer; textured and layered knits need more room without becoming shapeless.
Visual fitting guide—not an exact-product review or wear test. Yarn, stitch, intended silhouette and normal care can all change how the knit settles.

What to notice.
- 01
Shoulder
Close or deliberately droppedA classic seam finishes near the shoulder point; an extended seam should belong to a visibly relaxed shape.
- 02
Body
Ease without a shelfThe knit should move and return without stretching across the chest or hanging away from the rib.
- 03
Sleeve
Cuff at the wristAllow the elbow to bend without collecting heavy stacks of fabric at the cuff.
- 04
Hem
Near the hipKeep the rib controlled enough to reveal the trouser line and sit cleanly beneath a jacket.

QWD. Quietly Well Dressed. The jumper fit check. Four places decide it. 01. Shoulder. Keep the seam close to the shoulder point unless the shape is deliberately dropped. 02. Body. Leave ease without creating a hanging shelf. 03. Sleeve. Let the cuff meet the wrist with little stacking. 04. Hem. Finish near the hip and keep the trouser line visible. The final check: try the layer you will actually wear. Save this before your next jumper. Read the full guide at quietlywelldressed.com. Made in Melbourne.
