1. Match the full product name
A familiar model name can cover different materials and colour combinations. Compare the upper, heel tab, logo and sole with the exact listing you intend to buy. White/Natural is not necessarily the same visual choice as White/White/Black. If you are replacing an old favourite, look for its product code inside the shoe or on the box rather than relying only on memory.

2. Check what the size number means
Look for US, UK or EU beside the selector, and check whether a unisex listing is displaying men’s or women’s sizes. Reebok’s Club C page, for example, provides separate conversion information. Use the chart on the actual retailer page; do not assume one brand’s number converts identically everywhere. If the chart or fit advice is unclear, ask the retailer before ordering. 3. Read the shape as well as the size
Look at the shoe from above and from the side. A broad-looking sole does not prove there is generous space inside; a soft-looking upper does not establish how it feels after walking. Check what the brand says about lining, footbed and fit. Bared’s Bohrium, for example, has a removable footbed and a Fit Kit—useful details to investigate, not a substitute for trying it on. 4. Select your size before comparing the deal
Check that your exact size can be selected, then confirm it remains the intended model and colour in the basket. A price displayed before selecting a variant may not tell the whole story. A shortlist is a starting point, not a stock reservation. QWD keeps dated price and size observations in the buying guide so the same offer is not repeated with conflicting information across stories.

5. Know your way back before paying
Read the item’s return conditions, including sale exclusions, acceptable try-on condition, the deadline and who pays return postage. Compare the delivered total, not just the headline price. Keep the packaging and follow the retailer’s instructions when trying the shoes. If the fit disappoints, do not turn a manageable return into a costly experiment by wearing them outside first.
